Linear combination

Definition

Suppose that $f_1,f_2\dots ,f_n$ are functions of $t$. A function of the form $f={\sum }_i{c}_i{f}_i$, $c_i\in R$ is called a linear combination of the functions.

If furthermore $\sum c_i=1$, then $f$ is called an affine linear combination of the given functions
